The PADI Open Water Diver
certification is the most popular dive certification in
the world! Throughout the course, you’ll learn
the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive
equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by
completing five pool dives and knowledge development
sessions (Open Water Part 1) and by making four open
water (ocean or lake) dives (Open Water Part 2).
Open Water Diver Part
1
| Using PADI's proven Quick
Start method, we get you into the water quickly and
safely. Prior to attending the classroom portion
of this course, you will watch an instructional video,
perform self study, and complete knowledge reviews.
The course consists of five lecture sessions and five
confined water (pool) dives. The pool sessions
allow you to master your basic dive skills in a
protected environment where you can feel comfortable
practicing what you've learned in class. |

Open Water Diver Part
2
This course can easily be
completed over a weekend. Consisting of four open
water dives, Open Water Part 2 allows you to refine your
skills and learn what its like to feel the freedom of
the open water for the first time.
After completing Open
Water Part 1, you have up to 12 months to complete Open
Water Part 2.
If you would like to save
time and money getting your certification during the
winter months, join us on one of our instructor led
trips to the Caribbean. This will allow you to
complete your certification with us in warm tropical
waters without spending a bundle for instruction at a
resort dive center.
